DYNO SHOOTOUT WINNER

Congratulations to Brad Strasser for winning the MAXUS 09 Dyno Shootout. He owns a 1992 Maxima SE with a very clean turbocharger setup!

389whp and 372wtq is pretty impressive out of the VE30DE engine!

NWP engineering is proud to announce that we have hooked up with the guys at Modern Muscle Motorsports (Vincetown, NJ) and Goodwin Motorsports (Middleboro, MA) to host an action packed dyno shootout during the drag race portion of the event. Modern Muscle's mobile Dynojet will be on hand throughout the entire day at Maryland International Raceway. Members will not only have the opportunity to dyno their Maxima at an unbelievable rate of $40 for three runs, but to compete for prizes as well! Pre-registration is highly recommended since spots are sure to fill up fast. In the unlikely event that there are still open slots, walk-in registration will be available the morning of the event, however those who don't pre-register will be charged a $15 fee.

  • UNLIMITED
(Like all of the other classes, your car MUST be a Maxima or Altima, that's really the only rule for this all out "rung whatchya brung" class, although we may divide this class up into multiple classes so please list all of your fuel, computer, and internal mods when registering)

The winner for each class will be decided by his or her highest horsepower run.  All vehicles with forced induction (nitrous, supercharged, etc) will be placed in the unlimited class. All naturally aspirated cars will be placed in the NA classes. There are no generation based classes, it is based solely on displacement, ie. 3.5 swaps enter 3.5 classes.

  2. Best Pre-VQ Maxima (includes any year prior to year 1995)

VEHICLE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

What we need to know about your vehicle at the time of registration:

  1. Year, make, model, and transmission
  2. Internal modifications such as cams, rod-bolts, head gaskets, oil-pumps, etc. If you have internal upgrades that are OEM Nissan parts, such as HR headgaskets, Rev-Up camshafts or rod bolts, etc please list them as well!
  3. Intake and exhaust upgrades such as headers, Ypipes, electric cutouts, intake manifold swaps or modifications, etc.
  4. Fuel system upgrades such as AFPR's, fuel pumps, injectors, etc.
  5. Engine management upgrades like the Apexi SAFC, MASS AIRFLOW SENSORS, Greddy E-manage ultimate, UTEC, Motec, standalone ECU's, upgraded ecu's such as JWT or Technosquare, etc.
  6. Drivetrain upgrades such as PAR gearsets, clutches, flywheels, high stall torque converters, etc.
  7. Details on forced induction or other power adders such as Vortech V1 with t-trim compressor wheel w/3.12 pulley, or 100 wet shot.

If you don't know all of your modifications, it's ok, just put as much as you can & make a note if you feel it's necessary. For example, it's not the end of the world if you don't know any of the details on your T3 such as the compressor size.

If you're not sure if you need to list a modification list it anyways, it's ok. If you don't want people to know that you have a certain modification such as Tomei 272's well to bad, list them anyways because we WILL find out. If you want some of your mods kept secret in the event you win just make a note & we will be sure to keep it our little secret :)

I've provided some quick examples of the mod's lists that we are looking for, if you have any questions at all about the classes, general questions regarding dyno'ing your car, etc, don't hesitate to send us an e-mail with your questions or you can PM me directly on Maxima.org (KRRZ350) or call my cell @ 774-766-7462.

Thanks & good luck!

Sincerely,

Kevin Goodwin
